Customisable felt catwalks for indoors and PVC catwalks for outdoors, gilded anti-counterfeiting tickets... More than just details for a successful musical event

Rock band or orchestra instruments are merely the bottom rung of a wide range of equipment needed to mark and promote a musical event. These include carpets, doormats, catwalks which can be customised with the logos of sponsors or even the bands. Mat.en imprints them on, for example, the mats to be placed under the drums of rock bands, and to do this it uses dye-sublimation printing on felt, which is permanent, washable and available in four-colour process, i.e. in every imaginable colour. One of the machines used in this case is the Epson Sc-F9400, which is highly environmentally friendly since the sublimation process does not involve ink dispersion. If, on the other hand, you have to deal with Jupiter Pluvio, the choice is PVC, a material that does not get wet or soggy, is easy to wash and which Mat.en customises with an Hp Fb550 printer.

For advertising that uses clothing as its medium, Tessitura Attilio Bottinelli customises polyester or silk scarves and wraps, using Epson Monnalisa for digital inkjet printing. Charming relief effects can be achieved instead on jacquard ties, an option that has the advantage of incorporating the logo into the fabric instead of embroidering it afterwards. In this case, textile CAD programmes are used, which convert the designs into digital files that are then transferred over the network to Itema R9500 looms with a jacquard function (obtained by adding a Stäubli machine). Micro-fibre polyester, silk or a Pe-silk blend are the materials of choice for ties, with the possibility of using 8 colours, including the background colour.

For the great number of tickets and flyers such events entail, Realisaprint prints with Ricoh Vc 70000, Ricoh C9210 and Konica C14000, offering the possibility of holographic gilding by Mgi Jet Varnish machine. This type of finish can be requested to safeguard concert tickets on 250g/m² paper and consists in applying a gold layer exclusively on certain areas agreed with the client.

Professional Pins specialises in pins, magnets and bottle openers, for which it mainly uses digital printing with Xerox Versant 80 and Konica Minolta Accurio Press 4050machines. However, pad printing and screen printing are also possible. All printed graphics are cut by automatic Zünd m-1600 plotters. For final production, Professional Pins uses automatic machines built to its own designs to achieve better performance than the manual machines currently on the market.
