Those of the “What would you like to do?”

Since 2009, Embroidery Service has been following the thread of quality and consistency, flanking the production and sale of machines with activities for the training and growth of customers

As it happens with an embroidery fabric, the history of Embroidery Service has a constant warp and above all a constant weft. The real and true common thread of this company from Trezzano sul Naviglio (Milan), for whom embroidery is a destiny (nomen omen, we should say!), is in fact the decades-long work of Graziano Grillo, who in 2009 decided to found Embroidery Service after more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Soon the company was enriched by the professionalism of Alessia Baroni, who became partner of Grillo and in the following years would be joined by seven employees, several external collaborators, and then, with the transformation into a limited company in 2018, by two new partners.

Founded as a manufacturer of yarns and embroidery items, Embroidery Service later diversified its business with the sale of reference machines, introducing in Italy a brand such as Happy Japan.

A further recurring theme in the activities of this company is the high level of quality: “If in those years the most famous and well-known brands started to move their production to China to save costs”, explained Alessia Baroni, “we made the opposite choice by continuing to produce in Italy. It was a slightly more risky and difficult choice, but it meant that we could have a quality product, which was also made possible thanks to the Gots and Iso certified companies and dye works with which we collaborate”. Quality with no strings attached, at prices that are still competitive due to a particular care for the production process, which does not branch off into a thousand steps or opaque rivulets.

As time goes by, the promotional market confirmed to be an important interlocutor of Embroidery Service. Even though its particular demands on the type of yarn are not the same of the fashion world, which often turns to the Trezzano-based company for cashmere, silks, and linens, the promotional sector still demands a high level of quality. “Fairly extreme washing and high temperatures are typical for promotional products”, pointed out Baroni, “so there’s a need for resistant products. The most popular yarn in this market is polyester, and for some time now there has been a turn towards recycled polyester, albeit slowly because recycled materials cost twice as much and the transition in the promotional sector is slower”.

In its almost fifteen years of existence, Embroidery Service's guiding star has been the ability to always address its customers with this question: “What would you like to do?”, for the satisfaction of which Graziano Grillo and his partners have implemented an all-round offer, ranging from raw material for embroidery to machines and consumables for customization through screen printing, sublimation, Dtf, or intriguing mixes of embroidery on yarn and sublimation printing. Always while keeping a constant eye on after-sales and training, as demonstrated by the 'Academy' that in recent years the company has created for its customers: “It is a very important aspect”, emphasised Alessia Baroni, “that makes the customer grow with you. It is no coincidence that at least 30% of our customers have never left us”.

The next chapter? Forming partnerships with major companies in the sector in order to add Uvdtf printers of a considerable size, with the goal of serving the industrial world as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, which so far have been Embroidery Service's target market.
