PTE 2024: the trends on show

There was a wealth of new developments, satisfied exhibitors, in some cases actually astonished by the number and quality of visitors. Following the exhibition, the live PTE Lab demo and the succession of PTE Meet talks at full speed, the event that ran from 30 January to 1 February at Fieramilano Rho allows us to take stock and summarise the main trends that accompanied a 2024 edition of PTE that is certainly worth remembering.

A focus on the environment has long been the mantra of the promotional sector, and it was also in evidence in this edition of PTE, in the offering of articles made of sustainable, recycled and certified materials. One thing that does seem to have changed with respect to the past, however, is a greater awareness in using green materials in the design phase.

This allows their characteristics to be exploited to the full in order to create highly effective, evocative solutions. One example is the QS50 pen by Prodir (Pagani Pens), made using a compound that adds mineral powder to recycled plastic to add weight to the model and lend it an appearance of greater value. This is all masterfully emphasised by the satin finishes and elegant metallic colours that recall aluminium.

The textile material in Sipec’s Utopic line is also made entirely from recycled cotton and polyester. Together, they create a fabric that combines the best performance from the features of both: breathability and strength.

The Prodir QS50 pen is made with a mineral-enhanced compound that lends it a refined appearance, as too do the elegant metallic colours

Sipec’s Ocean Bags bags and backpacks collection, OceanCycle certified, helps prevent plastic from getting to and polluting our oceans
