The Japanese giant of digital printing launches a joint venture with Uab Veika, a Baltic company that revolutionised wallpaper

A new company for the development of sustainable technologies for the wallpaper and digital printing industries. With this in mind, the Lithuanian company Uab Veika, a manufacturer and supplier of wallpaper and digital printing products since 1991, has signed an agreement to create a new joint venture with Roland Dg, the world's leading supplier of digital printing solutions.

The intention of the two companies, which have been business partners since 2015, is on the one hand to accelerate the progress of Dimense, a wide-format inkjet printer, which is capable of suggestive embossing and offers a high rate of eco-sustainability, and on the other to develop Ecodeco, a PVC-free material for the traditional wallpaper industry.

“I still remember the day I first saw the Dimense wallpaper solution in 2019”, recalled Kohei Tanabe, the President of Roland DG Corporation, on 31 July, “today's announcement marks a momentous fusion between our mission, which is to bring new opportunities to society through digital technology, and our goal of enhancing creativity and excitement around the world. And this is possible thanks to the unique and innovative digital embossing solution offered by Dimense.”
