Pubblicità & Stampa - Puglia’s Felix award winner

A wide range of technologies and all-round consultancy for its customers' campaigns. This is the recipe for success of Pubblicità & Stampa in Modugno, which is embracing the future without ever forgetting tradition

Helping businesses grow and communicate through the art of printing has been Pubblicità & Stampa’s mission since Guido De Bartolo founded the company in Modugno, in the province of Bari, way back in 1979. At his side is Maria Di Nuzzo, his partner in life and at work, where she's always managed the P&S accounts in her role as administrative manager. It’s no coincidence that in 2023 the company was awarded the 'Industria Felix' prize as one of the best Apulia companies in the communications sector, thanks to its management performance and financial reliability.

Its technologies range from offset to large-format digital printing (flatbed, roll-to-roll and contour cutting) optimised for visual communication, through to editorial and commercial printing. In terms of fields of application, these include events and trade fairs, but also retail and corporate communication and even reaching the world of large format/building cladding, interior design and urban decoration.
Human capital is as important today as it was in 1979: "We have a strong belief in teamwork," says Beppe De Bartolo, Guido's son, who has owned the company with his brother Francesco since 2009, "and we rely on the expertise of our team to achieve excellent results". Pubblicità & Stampa, with a team of 20 carefully selected employees, accompanies its customers from the very beginning of their campaigns, helping them with design and planning (including 3D structural design), advising on the organisation and management of events, and taking care of the logistics and preparation of one-off packaging and assembly.

The natural generational handover, inevitable after almost half a century, has given the company a new boost: "Ours," explains De Bartolo, "is an ancient art, despite the constant innovations. It always requires respect for the traditional printing techniques of the past". It's a factor that's particularly evident in Pubblicità & Stampa's approach to offset technology, the descendant of the ancient lithographic process and an area in which the Modugno-based company knows how to maximise its potential.

"With offset printing," confirms the company’s co-owner, "both the four-colour process and the Pantone colour scheme give a high colour value that fully enhances the print design, for a top-quality result that combines beautifully with the texture of the paper to create an appealing visual appearance. The delicacy of this process, in which the ink soaks the paper, is visible to our eyes as we print: the power of technology merges with art and technique in a single stroke".

Pubblicità & Stampa, a company that wants to make a smooth but steady transition from the past to the future, has taken up the fight for environmental sustainability, using photovoltaic energy to power its production processes, thus reducing polluting emissions and contributing to the transition to renewable energy sources.

"Our commitment to sustainability doesn't end here," says Beppe De Bartolo: “we use only FSC-certified environmentally friendly paper and UV inks certified by Ul Greenguard Gold (large format digital printing), which meet the most stringent chemical emission standards, helping to reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of exposure to chemical substances. Products printed in this way are also perfectly suitable and safe for critical environments such as schools and hospitals, as well as for high-traffic environments such as hotels, restaurants, airports and railway stations".
