Promit: a service to push digital content from customers is launched

New flasks, a product catalogue that looks at sustainability and Made in Italy, and a special focus on those who are less fortunate. We met Promit at the Special Edition of PTE at Fiera Milano

by Stefano Belviolandi

Promozionale Italiana began its journey in the object advertising sector in 1979, thanks to the idea of a young entrepreneur who, using machinery for customising gadgets for companies, founded an advertising agency. Retracing this journey of over 40 years, at the beginning of its activity, Promozionale Italiana launched its first catalogues, gaining the trust of its customers.

In 2002 it focused its strategy exclusively on the distribution of promotional items. The choice turns out to be a winner. The constant increase in turnover and a strategy oriented towards services and competitive products, allows the acquiring of new partners throughout the territory. Promozionale Italiana began to broaden its horizons towards foreign countries and Promit S.p.A. was born. The solidity of the commercial relationships established in Italy and some international agreements allow the expansion of the customer base throughout Europe. And this is precisely the direction in which the company is heading, with key people joining the company to drive this change even further forward.

Francesco Segreto, business developer at Promit, joined the company precisely with this objective. Together with Luca Arienzo, sales director of Promit, we met them at the Special Edition of PTE.

What new products did you present at the Special Edition of PTE?

«The product itself is no longer enough» - reveals Segreto. «This year we have focused even more on the theme of sustainability by bringing 100% sustainable shopping bags made of Tnt mixed with rPET and printed with eco-friendly inks to the fair. We offer them both neutral and customised, with a choice of colour, handle length, format and all-round printing. In addition, we are introducing new water bottles, entirely designed and manufactured for us. These are double-walled, canister-style water bottles with anti-bacterial spouts that we also produce in versions suitable for sublimation printing».

This is as far as products are concerned. But Promit is about to launch something new on the market. A new service that will officially see the light of day next year that is called PromitForYou.

What's this about?

«This is a service that will create digital content for our clients - explains Segreto - to help them with their social media and digital media campaigns. The customer, using software, will be able to generate from scratch a series of contents that will help him to promote our products and his image».

But who do you turn to?

«Initially, we had thought about clients who are not very digital and for those who do not have a marketing and communications department. However - continues Segreto - even those who are well-organised, such as a graphic design office, can still benefit from it by significantly reducing the time it takes to realise communication campaigns». «In just a few clicks - Arienzo elaborates – starting with our corporate communication, these customers can create a poster, a flyer, videos to use, and much more. In order to promote this service - continues the commercial director - we will do promotional activities through dedicated initiatives and exclusive digital content».

What are the concrete steps you are introducing to encourage sustainability?

«We have been talking about sustainability in our industry for years but today, it is more than a concept, we believe it is an attitude that companies need to promote. Sustainability is one of the main challenges of our industry" - explains Arienzo - and we are supporting it by focusing on FSC and PEFC certified products, making sure that all the paper we consume is re-introduced into the system; in addition, we continue to promote Made in Italy and to be attentive to the needs of those less fortunate than ourselves. We have entered into an agreement with water.org whereby, for the sale of each of our flasks, a portion of the proceeds goes to this non-profit organisation in order to make available clean water anywhere in the world».
