Innovation is sustainable

Sustainability, innovation and design have always guided Sadesign in proposing customisable green items where low ecological impact is synonymous with durability and quality

Over more than 30 years of activity dedicated to the selection and production of promotional items and customised gadgets - from creative concept to delivery -  Sadesign has undergone a path of evolution that has led it to embrace sustainability as an element of its corporate identity. "We like to think," explains Andrea Stenico, owner and managing director of Sadesign, "that there may be a larger ethical project behind the purchase of high-quality customised merchandising. That is why every year we propose new activities to be developed together with our customers (including Vodafone, Melinda and Google), such as 'Pollinate the planet' for the protection of bees and beehives or 'The Sadesign forest', aimed at reforestation in the Dolomites after storm Adrian. We also joined the 'Federation for the Economy of the Common Good' four years ago, an international movement that proposes an ethical socio-economic model that puts the well-being of people and the planet at the fore".

The Sadesign catalogue features over 10,000 items where a low environmental impact version is available in addition to the traditional version, which is constantly updated - from soaps made with fruit or coffee waste to beach towels, bags and water bottles with plastic harvested from the oceans or apple peels, from perpetual pens and pencils to bags and notebooks made from elephant droppings - to offer brands a wide choice of creative and original "eco" merchandising not only in terms of the materials used (certified plastic free and biodegradable) but also in terms of the use of 100% renewable energy, packaging and shipping method.

These are processes which are made transparent throughout the production chain thanks to blockchain: 'This state-of-the-art technology,' Stenico emphasises, 'makes it possible to create a tracking system and collect all supply chain data in one database. This is beneficial because it gives brands the assurance that an item is truly sustainable and because it allows companies implementing such traceability solutions to clearly identify areas for improvement and reduce waste'.
