PTE 2022 preview: from sustainability to home

As the industry's first exhibition of the year, PTE will once again be an epicentre of discovery and trends. At the forefront of the quest for sustainability, well represented in exhibitors’ catalogues, but also highly focused on rediscovering the home with objects and funny “finds” that are extremely helpful around the house

PTE has begun the countdown to its upcoming event taking place at Fieramilano, Rho, from March 9th-11th.

Proving to be the leading exhibition in marketing objects, gifts, promotional textiles and customisation technologies, PTE is ready to open up to operators who are keenly aware of industry trends and to amaze with what’s new, both big and small. This year it will be the first trade fair on the international promotional calendar, offering a unique opportunity to discover the latest ideas in the industry previewed in the highly significant venue that is Milan.

A business opportunity, but that’s not all: PTE will be an ideas workshop, where demo areas, opportunities for in-depth analyses and company proposals will become a chance to explore and experience the latest market trends.

There will be plenty of innovations presented at the trade fair in the name of all-round sustainability: at a time when all industries are developing a growing awareness of the need to take care of the planet and future generations, focusing on the environment is inspirational, encouraging companies to look beyond and invest in researching novel materials and production methods.

The aim is twofold: pleasing the end customer, who is increasingly aware of the balances that affect environmental and social ecosystems, and improving brand awareness for companies that are investing in sustainable objects and solutions, even when it comes to gadgets. The outcome is a wealth of proposals covering multiple day-to-day tasks improved by interesting objects that are by no means lacking in ingenuity.

In addition to sustainability, another major trend to be found at PTE 2022 is the growing number of domestic utility objects associated with the broader use of home spaces in recent years which have been transformed into places for work and study, including remote learning and smart working.

The home becomes a new experiential dimension in which to rediscover the pleasure of personalising one’s environment, the kitchen for instance, with useful objects from the convivial to the fun. The synergy between PTE and HOMI, which will also overlap for one day this year, will ensure an even more comprehensive view of home living and allow for hybrid ideas and solutions.
