Ready, set, PTE!

The countdown to PTE-PromotionTrade Exhibition 2023 has started. Do you want to taste a bit of the novelties you will find at the fair? Here is a preview of some of the proposals of the “PTE Gift & Textile” area, dedicated to gifts and textile items

While waiting for the doors of PTE to open, we asked exhibitors to share with us some of the innovations they will be presenting at the fair, so here is a preview. While this is only a partial overview, it will nevertheless give a fair account of the great creativity the promotional sector can express to support the entire business chain. All the more reason not to miss PTE-PromotionTrade Exhibition and seize the opportunity to discover the latest trends in customisation products and machines.

Our product preview will start with a gift that has a nice name and shape, a beautiful design, it is useful in the office and at home, and above all carries a beautiful wish: may light be with you! It is the “Mr. Watt Goggle Lamp”, the 'bespectacled' desk lamp of the PowerCubes collection by Premium Square. It is a customisable product with playful lines, made of oak wood, which really deserves the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. Functionally speaking, you can just lie your hand on the rotating 'head’ of Mr. Watt and the lamp will light up, with varying brightness intensities.

For all seasons

Remaining in the lighting segment, here is “Safety”, the mini-umbrella by Perletti, which is small in size, but great in performance. Coloured in fluorescent yellow and with a double reflective band, it reflects the lights of cars to signal the presence of a pedestrian from a distance. The windproof system makes it ideal for protection in extreme weather, as well as low visibility conditions, making it an excellent gift for people who work in the automotive, but also in the logistics, transport, insurance sectors.

Umbrellas are evergreen promotional accessories appreciated by everyone, especially when they have a fine design and are made with quality materials, like those designed by Doppler, which will be presented at PTE in their Nature Collection - a range of umbrellas made of recycled and renewable materials, available in various natural shades and tested to withstand winds of up to 100 km/h.

And to protect laptops from the rain, here is the black waterproof backpack, with padded and adjustable straps, by Maikii. This backpack has a roll-top opening with an adjustable snap hook closure and is equipped with an internal zipped mesh pocket, a large external front pocket with a waxed zip and a laptop compartment on the back. It is perfect for the office, but also for leisure.

But after so much rain and wind, let’s talk about sunshine and its heat, so longed for in the winter, but a bit annoying in the summer, especially when it makes the inside of cars hot. This is where R3D, the car sunshade specialist, who also produces air bubble envelopes and packaging, comes into play. This company has embraced sustainability and presents itself to the market as an “Eco bubble factory”. At PTE, you will be able to see new environment-friendly products made from 80% recycled plastic.

Nature at the table

Sustainable products include the wood coaster “Puzzle”, made in Poland by Axpol Trading, an ideal item on which visible and impactful images or logos can be printed in full colour, supplied in a kraft paper envelope, which can also be customised.

For agencies looking for brandable items to bring to the table, Cifra brings to PTE a range consisting of the “Papua” bread basket, the “Vila” bottle carrier bag and a bread bag, all made of natural cotton and jute, which means not only sustainable materials, but also great performance in terms of food preservation.

Distinctive traits

The PTE range could not leave out two of its flagship promotional commodities: clothing and writing. As to textiles, in this edition visitors will find all the best products offered by the market in this area again. Some of the many novelties is the “Sprintex” line by Camac Arti Grafiche, which includes a lot of action wear products for men, women and children (including t-shirts, vests, shorts, k-ways, caps, gymsacks and towels) that can be customised by screen-printing, sublimation or transfer printing.

Writing instruments are among the most popular promotional items, increasingly committed and inspired to environmental sustainability. One of these is the “Recycled” line by Maxema, which includes items made of European certified plastic, 100% derived from WEEE (Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) products. Sustainability that starts with durability: refills, strictly manufactured in Italy, have a writing capacity of up to 4 km.

Schneider's “Reco” ballpoint pen, exclusively distributed for promotional purposes by Caimi, is an environment-friendly object, which has been awarded the Blauer Engel (Blue Angel) eco-label and is made of 92% recycled plastic.

“True Biotic” pens distributed under the Prodir brand by Pagani Pens are made of biopolymers. The Ds8 model, for example, is made of Pha, a natural material produced by microorganisms. It is sold in a case made of FSC paper mixed with algae from the Venice lagoon, which serves as an effective promotional vehicle that also carries and echoes the message of the pen: “We want fish in the sea, not waste”.

The new Bic "Super Clip Origin' is also made of bio-based material produced from natural polymers, which exclude any source containing oil or fossil fuels (with the exclusion of the refill). The multinational company's focus on nature is also expressed in the design of the iconic “4 Colours Wood Style” ballpoint pens, today presented with a wood-effect grain (4 ink colours and 8 km of writing).

We can close our preview with a fun and relaxing gadget: “Simple dimple”, the customisable UV-printed keychain by Badge4U (with clickable silicone buttons that help relieve stress. The company offers it in two standard colours, but is ready to produce other colours on request.
