Ritter, pens with a green stroke

The eco-friendly materials used in the Green Care pen line are derived from nature or recycled, and are the result of in-depth research into solutions with a low environmental impact

“Everything that is against nature, does not last.” It is in the spirit of naturalist Charles Darwin's quote that Ritter invests in researching and developing writing instruments that are environmentally friendly as they are made with eco-innovative and renewable materials. Such as the Green Care range distributed by Promotred, which includes pens made out of Brown Algae, a material developed in 2021 combines sargassum and PLA, and is a ‘DIN-certified Organic Material’.

The range also includes pens made from cellulose acetate, fully biodegradable and certified too, and pens made from salvaged plastic and plastic recycled from old household appliances. Born from recycling and therefore eco-friendly is the heart of these pens, the refill. Last year their commitment to sustainability also led the company to sign an agreement with retailers to use recycled polycarbonate in display shelf dividers.
